フィンランドの1匹狼と言われているジミ・テナーとトニー・アレンのコラボレーション作として登場した。アフリカを含む地中海周辺の世界は愈々クラブミュージックの主流として大きな運動に発展しつつある。ジミ・テナーの'97年ワープからの" Intervision " から，最近のKabu Kabuとのアフロビート・リズムのアルバムまでの流れをみても、トニー・アレンとのコラボレーションは必然的な出来事だと言えるだろう。この2枚組アルバムは、2008年、ベルリンのLovelite Studios、そして今年、フィンランドとパリに於けるKabu Kabuの主要メンバーたちのセッションで録音されたもの。フュージョンをベースにした伝統的なアフロビートと、そこから派生するフリースタイルの構造を持つ。

都市生活者、それも夜に生きるもの( 弧族 ) 以外は、こうした音楽に触れて欲しくもないなと思う。地方に住むものなどにこのセンスなど解るはずがない。ロックは郊外居住者の音楽であるのは、いまも変わらないけれど、" ジャズ的なるもの " だけは、アフリカをコンセプトに持っていても都会の音楽なのだ。さて、嵐の前の静けさとでもいうのか、いまは深夜の４時頃だけど、外はシーンと静まりかえっている。今夜から明朝にかけて台風18号が大阪を直撃するみたいだね。大きな被害がでなければいいが・・・。最近ふぐり玉蔵氏のブログなどでHAARPについてや地震予知のInduction Magnetometerに炎のような波形がでたなんて騒いでいて、大地震も近いというし、きっとなにかが起こるのだろうか。先端の音楽シーンはすでに地殻変動が起き始めているが。
